Below is a summary of the actions of the Fair Political Practices Commission during its monthly hearing. The meeting agenda can be found on our website at www.fppc.ca.gov.

Roll: Chair Remke and Commissioners Cardenas, Hatch and Hayward were in attendance, Commissioner Audero attended via teleconference.

Item 2: Minutes from March 2018 Commission Hearing. Approved 5-0.

Items 3-23: Enforcement Actions. Approved 5-0.

Item 24: Enforcement Information Item.

Item 25: Assignment of Hearing to Administrative Law Judge (ALJ): In the Matter of Kevork N. “George” Ashkharian; FPPC No. 14/876. No action by Commission. The Matter will go to an ALJ hearing.

Item 26: Pre-notice Discussion of Regulations 18308, 18308.1, 18308.2, and 18308.3 on Commission Governance. Motion to amend language to add public meeting provision. Failed 2-3. Motion to add previous language to secondary Ad Hoc proposal to notice with OAL by April 24, 2018. Failed 2-3. Motion to adopt secondary Ad Hoc proposal. Approved 3-2. Motion to have a Commission Meeting June 4th at 9:00 am. Tied 2-2 with no action. Motion to hold a Commission Meeting June 5th. Tied 2-2 with no action.

Item 27: Closure letters in Enforcement. Moved to May 17, 2018 Commission Meeting.
